JAKARTA - Plt. Head of the DKI Jakarta Education Office, Budi Awaluddin, emphasized that prospective new students (CPDB) can no longer move or apply for family cards (KK) so that they can pass the 2024 new student admissions (PPDB).

The phenomenon of prospective students riding for family activities is one of the modes so that they can pass the zoning route in PPDB and get seats in their favorite schools.

Budi emphasized that the CPDB that can take part in the 2024 Jakarta PPDB is a resident of DKI Jakarta and is domiciled in Jakarta, as evidenced by the KK which was made no later than June 10, 2023.

"Those who are identified as residents of DKI Jakarta are shown in their family cards since June 10, 2023. So, one year earlier (PPDB 2024 started)," Budi said at the DKI Jakarta Education Office, South Jakarta, Monday, May 20.

Then, DKI Jakarta Disdik officers will verify the KK in the CPDB account that was previously created. This is to find out who the prospective students are who only ride KK during registration.

"Every time they upload their family cards. The KK will be verified by our officers. There the status of their family relations can be seen," said Budi.

However, the DKI Provincial Government can still pass the CPDB who moved families if they have strong reasons, one of which is if they no longer have parents.

"If they do, for example, ride a family and they don't add other certificates, they can't (lolos PPDB). For example, if the child is, his parents don't exist, then they can include other certificates. If not, then you can't," he explained.

PPDB starts from June 10 to July 4, 2024 online for State Elementary School (SDN), State Primary Junior High School (SMPN), State Senior High School (SMAN), and State Vocational High School (SMKN) through ppdb.jakarta.go.id.

Prior to that, the PPDB pre-registration stage was opened with an account submission starting on May 20, 2024 for SDN levels, May 27, 2024 for SMPN levels, and June 3, 2024 for SMAN and SMKN levels.

Meanwhile, for the State Early Childhood Education School (SPAUDN), the Learning Activity Studio (SKB), and State Special Schools (SLBN) will be held offline/online on June 10-30 July 2024.

Meanwhile, the total capacity of the SDN level is 95,677 students; SMPN 71,093 students with an estimated CPDB of 151,164 students and a capacity of 47.03 percent.

Student quota for SMAN 29,559 students and SMKN 20,130 students with an CPDB estimate of 139,841 and a capacity of 35.53 percent.

Seeing the current limited capacity of public schools, Disdik DKI again held a Joint PPDB in the previous year involving private schools.

This year, the implementation of PPDB Bersama involved 121 private high schools with a capacity of 2,671 students, 147 private vocational schools with a capacity of 4,024 students, and 138 private junior high schools with a capacity of 1,731 students.
