BOGOR - Acting (Pj) Bogor Regent Asmawa Tosepu issued a decree (SK) for the mining special transportation control team operating in the Parungpanjang area, Bogor Regency, West Java (West Java).
Asmawa revealed that the team will be tasked with controlling mining special transportation to comply with Regent Regulation or Perbup number 56 of 2023, that mining trucks can only pass at 22.00 WIB-05.00 WIB.
"Because this has been agreed upon, right. To implement operating hours, local governments must prepare parking bags. This already exists. While we fix it slowly and the local government does not cover our eyes and ears if there is input," said Asmawa in Cibinong, Monday, May 20, quoted by Antara.
At the same time, the Bogor Regency Government began operating the parking bag of a mining truck in Ciomas Village, Tenjo District, Friday, in order to reduce the number of violations of mining transportation actors.
The preparation of this parking bag is an agreement between the Bogor Regency Government and mining transportation entrepreneurs, in order to enforce Regent Regulation (Perbup) Number 56 of 2023 concerning Restrictions on Mining Truck Operational Hours.
"This first stage parking bag covering an area of 2.8 hectares can accommodate 450 trucks. The land belongs to Perhutani. Phase II is still being prepared so that later overall it can accommodate up to 1,000 trucks," he said.
Asmawa emphasized that parking bags are a temporary solution, to solve traffic problems around Parungpanjang, Rumpin, Cigudeg and Tenjo. Meanwhile, permanent solutions remain in the form of building special roads for mining transportation.
"The special mining transportation road is still under plan. Later, the central government will build it. God willing, in 2025 construction will begin," said Asmawa.
