KARAWANG - A husband in Karawang Regency, West Java, has the heart to promote his wife to date another man for Rp. 600 thousand.

Kasat Reskrim Karawang Police AKP Oliestha Ageng Wicaksana, male, originating from AE (24), sells his wife to another man. His wife is suspected of being a victim for being promoted as a commercial sex worker through the MiChat app.

"The suspect with the initials AE (24) is the husband of the victim with the initials WYP," said AKP Oliestha as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, March 10.

The practice of online prostitution using an application was revealed after local residents became suspicious of activities at the home of the AE and WYP couple.

After the house was visited, it turned out that a guest was in the room with the suspect's wife. At that time the wife or victim with the initials WYP was wearing sexy clothes. Meanwhile the suspect is in the living room.

"When interrogated by residents, the suspect admitted to having practiced prostitution and made his wife a sex worker," said the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit.

The suspect offered or promoted a woman who is his own wife for a date. The offer is made through an application.

"The suspect offered his wife a tariff for one-time sexual intercourse with another man for Rp. 600 thousand," Oliestha said.

For his actions, the suspect was subject to Article 47 of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 23 of 2004 concerning the Elimination of Domestic Violence or Article 506 of the Criminal Code.
