Bentley Officially Launches The Latest Continental GT Speed, Best Grand Tourer Design Revolution

Bentley Motors officially revealed that the fourth generation Continental GT Speed follows the 21-year tradition of the Continental GT family, by redefining the perfect pairing between supercar performance and luxury.

Previously, Bentley distributed a fourth-generation Continental GT Speed image teaser which was claimed to come with various improvements, both from design and performance.

"A comprehensive exterior and interior redesign with modern clean detail follows the DNA of the new design set by coachbuild Bentley Bacalar and Batur," the company said in an official statement received on Wednesday, June 26.

In design, the new exterior continues the design revolution for Bentley's future journey, with the biggest revision to the face of the Continental GT in two decades, and Bentley's first mainstream with a single headlights.

The headlights feature a new horizontal 'eyebrow', the effect of the deep diamond crystal cut on the top of the lights and the bottom pill on. On the back, it has also been redesigned including bumpers, rear lights, baggage covers to exhaust pipes.

Entering the cabin, many new things are presented in this one car, it seems that the texture of the three-dimensional skin, new judging to a new dark chrom layer that presents an unmatched experience.

Behind his hood, this car carries a 4.0 l V8 engine that works together with an electric motor. This extraordinary performance is carried by the new Ultra Performa Hybrid powertrain which produces 782 ps of power and 1,000 Nm.

The power is channeled through a dual cluster transmission of eight speeds and electronic limited differentials (elSD) to four wheels, for extraordinary power delivery and reliable traction in all conditions.

This car is capable of accelerating 0-60 km/hour in just 3.1 seconds and the maximum speed reaches 335 km/h, besides that the hybrid system is capable of traveling 81 km with a total distance of 856 km.

More details, the performance of the power train above is supported by a new chassis system with a new air spring paired with a double valve damper, and equipped with Bentley Dynamic Ride.

For the first time in the history of the Continental GT Convertible Continental GT launched together with a couple, providing the best flexibility for customers who value both open and closed roof driving.

"Both the couple and convertible models will be made entirely by hand at Dream Factory Bentley in Crewe, England. Production and delivery are scheduled to begin in the third quarter," Bentley said in a statement.
