The Director General of Plantation at the Ministry of Agriculture, Andi Nur Alamsyah, said that Syahrul Yasin Limpo or SYL had invited him to eat together. During the meeting, SYL left several messages.

"After I was sworn in, I was invited to eat in Sarinah," Andi said during a trial at the Corruption Court at the Central Jakarta District Court, Monday, May 20.

During the meeting, SYL left several messages with him. One of them advances the plantation sector by managing logistics.

"After I was sworn in, he (Syahrul Yasin Limpo) left a message that how the plantations in the future were built. Regarding plantations to advance, he said plantation logistics must be managed properly," he said.

Not only that, Andi also conveyed that the former Minister of Agriculture also emphasized that he should improve national plantation governance.

In this case, Syahrul Yasin Limpo allegedly extorted his employees of up to Rp44.5 billion during the 2020-2023 period with the Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture Kasdi Subagyono and the Director of Agricultural Equipment and Machinery of the Directorate General of Infrastructure and Facilities of the Ministry of Agriculture Muhammad Hatta.

This money was then used for the benefit of Syahrul's wife and family, invited gifts, the NasDem Party, religious events, aircraft charters to Umrah and sacrifices. In addition, he was also charged with receiving gratuities of Rp40.6 billion from January 2020 to October 2023.
