The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Invites The Secretary General Of The DPR Against Confiscation Of Official House Equipment Through Pretrial

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has invited the Secretary General of the DPR Indra Iskandar to file a pretrial regarding the legal confiscation carried out by the anti-corruption agency in the case of alleged corruption of the DPR's house of office equipment to the South Jakarta District Court (PN Jaksel).

Indra Iskandar filed this lawsuit as an attempt to fight the KPK in the case that happened to him.

Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri ensured that his institution was ready to face the legal process.

"That's the suspect's right, go ahead and submit it. The KPK is certainly ready to face it and will explain directly before the judge," Ali said in a written statement quoted on Monday, May 20.

Ali said his institution would certainly comply with the law when establishing someone as a suspect or making forced efforts, so that the KPK would not be afraid.

"Or when the investigative team confiscates the goods, documents or anything related to the case in question," he said.

Indra's pretrial submission regarding the legal confiscation carried out by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in the alleged corruption case of the DPR's house of office equipment has been visited by the South Jakarta District Court (PN Jaksel).

"The classification of legal cases or not of confiscation," said SIPP of the South Jakarta District Court as seen on Saturday, May 18.

The lawsuit is registered with case number 57/Pid. Pra/2024/PN JKT.SEL with KPK Cq KPK leadership as the respondent. The trial is planned to be held on Monday, May 27.

The KPK is investigating allegations of corruption at the Secretariat General of the DPR regarding the procurement of furniture or furniture at the official residence of lawmakers. It is suspected that the filling of the living room to the bedroom was rigged.

A total of seven people have been prevented from leaving the country in this case. From the information gathered, they are the Secretary General of the DPR Indra Iskandar; Head of the Rumjab Management Section of the DPR RI Hiphi Hidati; President Director of PT Daya Indah Dynamics, Tanti Nugroho; and Director of PT Dwitunggal Bangun Persada, Juanda Hasurungan Sidabutar.

Then it was also prevented by the Director of Operations of PT Avantgarde Production, Kibun Roni; Project Manager of PT Integra Indocabinet, Andrias Catur Prasetya; and Edwin Budiman who are private.

The modes that occur in this case are violations of several provisions related to the procurement of goods and services and budget inflations or mark-ups. The official residence whose filling is corrupted is thought to be located in Kalibata and Ulujami, South Jakarta.
