Golkar Berjuang Usung Airin Maju Ke Pilkada Banten Bersama Koalisi Indonesia Maju

JAKARTA - Golkar Party Chairman Airlangga Hartarto said that there was an opportunity to carry former South Tangerang Mayor Airin Rachmi Diany in the 2024 Banten Regional Head Election with the Advanced Indonesia Coalition.

The Golkar Party is a member of KIM to carry the President-Vice President-elect Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka in the 2024 presidential election. Other parties that are members of KIM include the Gerindra Party, the Democratic Party, and the National Mandate Party (PAN).

"The KIM has relatively discussed several of the same names, including for Banten," said Airlangga in the Kebayoran Baru area, Jakarta, Friday, May 17, evening.

He also said that the determination of the name of the prospective deputy governor of Banten to accompany Airin is in the process.

"It is being communicated with parties and later it will be decided which results are the highest," he said, quoted from Antara.

He explained that the determination would consider the results of the survey which is usually a reference for the Golkar Party in deciding something.

"Yes, everyone, Golkar is based on a survey. We will survey it in May, June and July, then we will determine it," he explained.

Previously, PAN Chairman Zulkifli Hasan after the Workshop and the PAN National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) for the 2024 Pilkada Winning in Jakarta, Friday (10/5), said that Airin was one of the names considered in the 2024 Banten Pilkada.

"Banten? Many have registered, six people. There is Airin, there is Dimyati (DPR RI Member Achmad Dimyati Natakusumah), there is Arief (former Tangerang Mayor Arief Rachadiono Wismansyah)," said Zulhas.
