JAKARTA - Kim Yo-jong, the younger sister of North Korean leader, dismissed accusations of military cooperation between Pyongyang and Moscow and stressed North Korea's weapons were solely meant to target Seoul not to be exported to Russia.

Kim Yo-jong's statement, who serves as deputy director of the department of the ruling Korean Workers' Party, comes amid suspicions that North Korea has supplied weapons to Russia to support the war in Ukraine.

"We have no intention of exporting our military technical capabilities to any country or opening them to the public," Kim said in a statement broadcast by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) as reported by ANTARA from Anadolu, Friday, May 17.

Kim even said the allegations were the most implausible paradox. He explained North Korea's tactical weapons, including multiple rocket and missile launchers, were meant to deter South Korea from engaging in any empty thinking that appeared to refer to a joint South Korean-US military exercise.

North Korea has long denounced its allied military exercises as a drill to carry out an invasion of its country, while Seoul and Washington rejected the claim and described the drills as defensive exercises.

"The most urgent thing for us is not to 'add' or 'export' something but to make our army war readiness and warfronts more perfect in quality and quantity and to make enemies unable to overcome the inferiority of military capabilities," said Kim.

Meanwhile, North Korean leader KimJong-un recently checked weapons development locations, but he did not issue hostile messages against South Korea.

This has led to speculation that North Korea has increased arms production to be exported to Russia.

On May 10, he oversaw a missile fire test for a technically updated version of the 240 mm dual rocket launch system. The weapons system is believed to target a wider South Korean capital area.

Over the weekend, Kim also made a visit to major defense industry companies and examined the modernization of production lines and production plans for this year.

He also examined a new tactical missile weapon system earlier this week and called for an "important change" in war preparation by achieving a weapons production plan.
