JAKARTA - A man admits to sexually abusing his underage cousin during the recruitment test process as a police officer is threatened with life imprisonment.
Fox News reported that the office of State Prosecutor Andrew Bain said the man named Stephen Bodley was found guilty by a judge at the Orange County trial of sexual abuse against a child last week.
The 26-year-old first admitted to sexual abuse in the process of interviewing the application stage of the sworn officer at the Apopka Police Department, Florida.
The board-certified voice pressure analysis officer checked Bodley's voice pressure, Bain said.
"During the test, the examiner asked Bodley to expand the answer he gave in the pre-test questionnaire," he continued.
Bodley explained that he had been sexually harassing these children for a long time. He then admitted it when asked to explain further.
The Tampa Bay Times said police detectives who tracked down the victim's mother said Bodley and the victim had close ties.
The victim, a woman, then told the Florida Department of Children and Family about the abuse.
The victim said the move took place over several years, from when Bodley was around 14 to when he was about 19 years old.
