KPK Will Summon Former Head Of Purwakarta Customs Next Week Because LHKPN Is Odd

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) plans to summon Rahmady Effendy Hutahaean, who is the former Head of Purwakarta Customs next week. This newly removed official will be asked for clarification regarding the state administrator's wealth report (LHKPN) which is considered odd.

"Yang (former Head of Customs and Excise, ed) Purwakarta, we have issued a letter of assignment and maybe next week we will be invited for clarification," said KPK Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring Pahala Nainggolan at the ACLC KPK building, South Jakarta, Thursday, May 16.

This clarification is deemed necessary because his wife owns shares in a company. Not only that, he is also suspected of providing loans to other parties exceeding his wealth.

"The price is Rp. 6 billion, but how come it was reported that he gave a loan of up to Rp. 7 billion. That doesn't make sense, right," he said.

"So we will clarify later, we will tell you what the results will be. However, once again this is the impact because there are assets in the form of shares in other companies," continued Pahala.

Pahala has not detailed the share ownership in the company. He only mentioned Rahmady's wife as the main commissioner there.

"So the name of the PT, what all kinds of things are not mentioned. Yes, we'll see there (during clarification, ed)," he said.

Head of Customs and Excise Purwakarta Rahmady Effendy Hutahaean is in the public spotlight because he is suspected of involving his family in carrying out official affairs. He was later removed from his position after undergoing an internal examination.

In addition, Rahmady was also reported to the KPK some time ago by Andreas, who is an advocate from the Law Office of Eternity Global Lawfirm. He questioned Rahmady's LHKPN in the report.

The reason is that Rahmady's wife, Margaret Chritsina, gave a loan of IDR 7 billion to Wijanto Tirtasana, who is Andreas' client. This incident occurred in 2017.

The loan requirement is to make Margaret the main commissioner and shareholder by 40 percent. However, there was a threat from Rahmady and his wife against Wijanto so that Andreas as legal counsel traced it and knew the official's wealth.
