PKS Presents The Names Of Dedi Aroza And Agus Salim To Gerindra For The Bogor Regency Pilkada

BOGOR - The PKS Regional Management Board (DPD) of Bogor Regency, West Java, carried out a political safari to the Gerindra Party DPC Office to present the names of two candidates for regents in the local regional elections. Two names of PKS cadres were offered, namely the Chairman of the Bogor Regency PKS DPD, Dedi Aroza and Agus Salim, who currently serves as Deputy Chair of the Bogor Regency DPRD. "We have submitted five names of candidates to the DPW, then the West Java PKS DPW decided Agus Salim and me," said Dedi Aroza at the Bogor Regency Gerindra Party DPC Office, Antara, Tuesday, May 14. Dedi explained that the PKS political safari to several political parties in Bogor Regency was to equalize perceptions in welcoming the 2024 Pilkada. Meanwhile, the chairman of the Bogor Regency Gerindra Party DPC, Iwan Setiawan, in the same place stated that his party opened the door to a coalition for other political parties, including PKS. "Honestly, if I counted earlier, the coalition with PKS was clear. If the PKS vote yesterday was registered with the regional elections, it could be the same," said Iwan. According to him, it is necessary to involve many parties to realize equitable development in Bogor Regency, which has a population of 5.6 million people spread across 40 sub-districts. So far, the Bogor Regency Gerindra Party DPC has established communication with several political parties for the 2024 Pilkada. The Gerindra Party of Bogor Regency with a capital of 12 seats in the 2024 General Election can carry the pairs of candidates for regent and deputy regent in the 2024 Pilkada.

However, said Iwan, the Gerindra Party upholds the principles of General Chair Prabowo Subianto who thinks the winning party cannot run alone so it must involve other parties. "Yesterday, I joined the coordination meeting (with the Gerindra Party DPP), to be released in a coalition in accordance with local wisdom with anyone," said Iwan.
