DENPASAR - The Bali Education, Youth and Sports Agency (Disdikpora) applies online learning for more than 50 schools during the 10th World Water Forum (WWF) event.

"In elementary school around 30, junior high school 15, high school around 12, so this is online learning for elementary, junior high, and high school levels," said Head of Bali Disdikpora KN Boy Jayawibawa, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, May 13.

Boy said the online learning process was carried out to minimize traffic disruption during the World Water Forum due to student activities on the road either heading or returning from school.

For this reason, it is certain that students whose schools are included in the list will still follow lessons from their respective homes or in the form of giving assignments, so they don't roam the streets.

"According to the direction of the Acting Governor, during the World Water Forum, it is hoped that students will study online, which aims to unravel the density of traffic, but specifically for the South Denpasar and South Badung areas," said Boy.

Diskdikpora Bali said that the right schools to be applied for online learning were only in the area, namely around Jalan Bypass Ngurah Rai to Nusa Dua Kuta Selatan as the main access to the movement of delegates.

These schools are also certain to be able to follow the direction of the Bali Provincial Government, because every international meeting they apply the same thing.

The online learning policy at around 50 schools in Bali took place from 20-22 May or for three days, while on another day the scheme was deemed not too much needed.

"Kalau di luar dari Denpasar Selatan dan Badung Selatan tentu belajar seperti biasa sesuai kalender pendidikan, termasuk di daerah karyawisata tetap normal seperti biasa, dan kebetulan secara kalender pendidikan sudah lebih lebih jam pelajaran, jadi Jatiluwih dan Melukat kami tidak sakit karena tidak berbenturan jaminya," kata Kepala Disdikpora Bali itu.

The Bali Provincial Government hopes that with this effort there will be no obstacles for the implementation of WWF which will take place from 18-25 May 2024.

"Our hope is that online learning will outline traffic density, so that the implementation of the World Water Forum will certainly run smoothly from the aspect of traffic," he said.
