West Java Provincial Government Calls Residents Affected By The Explosion Of The Jaya Kodam Ammunition Warehouse Not Ignored

BANDUNG - Acting Governor of West Java Beyvi Machmudin admitted that his party was working on the best solution, responding to the demands of residents affected by the explosion of the Regional Ammunition Depot (Gud cheap) Kodam Jaya in Ciangsana Village, Gunung Putri District, Bogor Regency. He emphasized that the handling of damage to houses affected by the cheap Gud explosion was not allowed, but would be carried out in stages. "Regarding the Gud cheap explosion of Kodam Jaya in Ciangsana, Bogor Regency, what is prioritized is the affected village community, because community groups (Pokmas) can directly do it," said Bey at Gedung Sate, Bandung, Antara, Wednesday, May 8. Likewise, said Bey, a resident of Cluster Visalia who complained and asked for treatment, where further steps were needed according to the mechanism and agreement. "For the Visalia Cluster, it has not been handled because special handling is needed, and there needs to be an agreement and an accountable implementation mechanism, not contrary to unexpected shopping rules (BTT)," he said. He confirmed that he had ordered the West Java Regional Secretary Herman Suryatman to immediately coordinate with various related parties to resolve this problem. "I have ordered the West Java Provincial Secretary to immediately coordinate and find the best solution to deal with and resolve this problem," he said. Previously, Bey Machmudin said that residents who lived closest to the ammunition warehouse area belonging to Kodam Jaya, Ciangsana Village, Gunung Putri District, Bogor Regency, had been evacuated to a safe place. According to Bey, as many as 85 families (KK) have been evacuated to the Ciangsana Village Head Office, and as many as 50 families were evacuated to Darussalam Mosque in Cibubur Tourism City. "They (community) are conducive, understand that they should be in a safe place first," said Bey in Ciangsana Village, Gunung Putri District, Bogor Regency, Saturday (30/3). "And because this is the month of Ramadan, the Acting Regent of Bogor (Asmawa Tosepu) has also prepared a public kitchen, this is because it is for sahur later, basically the conditions are under control," he added. Bey said the outer wall distance of the ammunition warehouse to residential areas was about 200-300 meters. Currently, said Bey, Kodam Jaya and BPBD are recording the impact of the explosion in the ammunition warehouse. "This is being recorded both from the Jaya Regional Military Command, and BPBD. In essence, we will replace it if there is damage. So people don't need to worry if there is damage," he said. For further efforts, Kodam Jaya has coordinated with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to send assistance in the form of fire engines.

"This is also the Pak Pangdam Jaya (Mayjen TNI Mohamad Hasan) has coordinated with the DKI Provincial Government to extinguish the fire, so a fire engine that can shoot water remotely will be imported from Jakarta," he said.
