JAKARTA - The European Union's COPnicus Climate Change Service (C3S) said April was the hottest month ever recorded.
"April 2024 is warmer globally compared to previous April in data records, with the average surface air temperature ERA5 reaching 15.03C, or 0.67C above the average surface air temperature in 1991-2020 for April and 0.14C above its previous high temperatures in April 2016," according to a C3S statement reported by ANTARA from Anadolu, Wednesday, May 8.
C3S also said the global average temperature in the May 2023-April 2024 period was also the highest record, with 0.73C above average in 1991-2020.
