Citizens Become Victims Of TIP, Provincial Government Affirms PMI-Buaian Work In Australia Via NTB Manpower And Transmigration Office Fraud

NTB - The Manpower and Transmigration Office (Disnakertrans) of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) ensures that there is no cooperation in the placement of Indonesian migrant workers (PMI) in Australia. He emphasized the fraud if there is an offer for the placement.

"There is no cooperation in placing migrant workers with Australia. Even if someone offers to work there, obviously it's a lie, it's a fraud," said Head of NTB Manpower and Transmigration Office I Gede Putu Aryadi in Mataram, NTB, Wednesday, May 8, confiscated by Antara.

He said that his party only knew that in Australia there is now a "Working Holiday Visa" program engaged in tourist visits.

"So, with this visa, our people (Indonesia) can visit Australia. The condition is only for those on vacation, taking education, or having families there," he said.

However, other requirements require Australian outsiders to have savings savings worth IDR 50 million.

"Rp50 million is a requirement to support himself for 3 months in Australia. Later, after a while there, that person can find a side to work in Australia," he said.

Aryadi conveyed this in response to the results of the disclosure of the NTB Police regarding the criminal case of trafficking in persons (TPPO) by promising the victim to work as PMI in Australia.

In handling the case, the NTB Police named three suspects who acted as recruiting sponsors and recruiters in the field. The victims of this case amounted to nine people.

Aryadi reminded people who want to work abroad to be more selective and check the legality and operations of the Indonesian Migrant Workers Placement Company (P3MI).

"Does the P3MI already have a recruitment permit or not? Do you have a job order? The public must also make sure what job orders are available?," he said.

According to Aryadi, many registered P3MIs did recruitment that did not match the job order. Of course, this is detrimental to prospective migrant workers.

"Such a mode is what makes prospective migrant workers not go and go, because the job orders are not in accordance with their skills, so they have to check and check so that they are clear, they are not victims," he said.
