At The Legislative Election Dispute Session, Arief Hidayat Reminded The KPU To Fix Sirekap Ahead Of The 2024 Pilkada

Constitutional Justice Arief Hidayat reminded the General Elections Commission (KPU) to immediately improve the Recapitulation Information System (Sirekap) application ahead of the 2024 Pilkada.

The warning was conveyed by Arief Hidayat in the trial of the General Election Result Dispute (PHPU) case Number 20-01-04-01/PHPU.DPR-DPRD-XXII/2024 in the Courtroom of the Three Panels of the Constitutional Court Building (MK), Jakarta, Wednesday, May 8.

The case that was tried was brought up by the Golkar Party and questioned the alleged addition of Gerindra Party votes to fill the DPR/DPRA members of Aceh Province Dapil Aceh 6.

Initially, a member of the Aceh Electoral Supervisory Committee (Panwaslih) Yusriadi said there was a difference in voice in the results of the calculation recapitulation manually on the District Result D form with Sirekap which was printed into documents, thus disrupting the recapitulation stage of the correct number of votes.

"When (the D form of the District Results) is read out there is no sub-district, everyone accepts it. However, once printed from Sirekap into a document, the final result is different. Therefore, our Panwascam submits written and copied improvement suggestions to Panwaslih, East Aceh," he said.

Hearing this, Arief again confirmed that there was indeed a difference in voice because of Sirekap.

"Do you think that means that Sirekap as an aid actually messs up, right? There is no problem with the recapitulation time, right?" asked Arief.

"Because they do maintain what has been argued at the sub-district level, Your Majesty," said Yusriadi.

Then, Arief asked one of the KPU members who attended, namely Idham Holik, to immediately repair Sirekap, especially to hold the 2024 Pilkada.

"Mr. Holik, used to be Situng (Systung's Voice Counting Information System), now Sirekap. What about this? This is at all levels. Yesterday when we took the presidential election, Sirekap was a problem. For the record, because the regional elections are coming soon, almost 500 more regional elections are simultaneously throughout Indonesia. So, we have to be really careful," he said.

On Wednesday, the Constitutional Court held a hearing with the agenda of hearing the Respondent's answer, the statement of the Related Party, and Bawaslu's statement and the ratification of evidence from the parties.

The trial of the third panel was chaired by Constitutional Justice Arief Hidayat accompanied by Constitutional Justices Anwar Usman and Enny Nurbaningsih.
