There Are Still Many Empty Echelon II Positions, Heru Budi Admits The Ministry Has Slowly Permitted The Inauguration

JAKARTA - A number of echelon II positions within the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government are still empty. In fact, there is the position of the head of the office who has been filled with the implementation of the task (plt) for the past year.

Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono confirmed that he had made an open selection for the vacant echelon II position.

However, Heru admitted that he had not been able to inaugurate prospective officials who had lolo selection because there was no permit and recommendation from the ministry.

"I've been pushing, I've been asking since January. I'm just opening this here. But I have limitations, there must be recommendations from BKN, from Menpan RB, from the Minister of Home Affairs." Heru said at the National Library, Wednesday, April 8.

Currently, Heru said that there is still one ministry that has not issued a recommendation for the inauguration of ASN which will fill the vacancy for echelon II officials

"Proposing a candidate for echelon II must have a permit. Once the proposal is there, it must be permission again. I just have to wait for one of the ministry's permits, after that I will launch it," said Heru.

For information, several vacant echelon II positions for the DKI Provincial Government and filled by plt include the Secretary of the DKI Jakarta DPRD; Head of the DKI Jakarta Public Housing and Settlement Areas Service.

Then, the Head of the DKI Jakarta Education Office; Head of the DKI Jakarta Communication, Information and Statistics Agency; Head of the DKI Jakarta Mental and Spiritual Education Bureau; DKI Jakarta Regional Asset Management Agency; and Head of the DKI Jakarta Water Resources Service.

The cause of the vacancy in echelon II positions was because Heru Puji had reshuffled dozens of high leadership positions in pratama last year, as well as retired officials.

The vacancy of this position was previously a record for the DKI Jakarta DPRD in a plenary meeting with Heru Budi. Member of the DKI Jakarta DPRD Neneng Hasanah Heru Budi and his staff accelerated the filling of vacant positions. "We ask the Bureau of Organization and Reform of the Bureaucratics and Regional Civil Service Agency (BKD) to immediately appoint definitive officials to fill these vacant positions," Neneng said on Friday, May 3.
