YOGYAKARTA The 2024 Hajj operational period begins on May 12. On that date, the first batch of pilgrims will depart for the Holy Land. As preparation, the Directorate General of Hajj and Umrah (PHU) of the Ministry of Religion has issued rules for placing Indonesian Hajj Pilgrims in Makkah and Medina.

The regulation is contained in the Decree of the Director General of PHU No. 214 of 2024 concerning the Placement of Accommodation of Indonesian Hajj Pilgrims in Makkah and Medina 1445 H/2024 AD.

Placement Of Hotels For Indonesian Hajj Pilgrims In Makkah And Madinah

Director of Foreign Hajj Services Subhan Cholid said, for the Medina region, Indonesian Hajj pilgrims would be placed in Markaziyah Syamaliyah, Markaziyah Gharbiyah, and Markaziyah Janubiahah.

The placement refers to the schedule for the departure and repatriation of Indonesian pilgrims, said Subhan, following the official website of the Ministry of Religion, Wednesday, May 8, 2024.

In Makkah, Indonesian pilgrims are placed in five regions, namely Syisyah, Raudhah, Jarwal, Misfalah, and Rey Bakhsy.

Furthermore, pilgrims departing from Makassar will occupy the Syisyah and Raudhah areas. Likewise, the pilgrims departing from the Jakarta-Pondok Gede (JKG) Embarkation.

The Solo Embarkation Congregation (SOC), partly placed in Syisyah and partly in Jarwal. Meanwhile, the pilgrims from the Jekarta-Bekasi Embarkation (JKS) and Kertajati (KJT) forged the Jarwal area.

"Congregants from the Surabaya Embarkation or SUB occupy Syisyah and Misfalah," explained Subhan.

"If there are in the form of adjustments to the placement of accommodation for Indonesian pilgrims in Makkah and Medina, it can be done by the Head of the Working Areas of each region," he concluded.
