One person died after a motorcycle rider was hit by a train park bound for Surabaya-Jakarta at a level crossing on Anjasmoro Street, Semarang City, Central Java, Tuesday, May 7.

Public Relations Manager of PT KAI Daop 4 Semarang Franoto Wibowo confirmed the unfortunate incident that occurred at the intersection of a sidebar field and was equipped with the guard.

According to him, the motorcyclist is suspected of being desperate to cross the closed doorstop.

"Masinis has sounded the locomotive whistle, but the driver is desperate to break through the closed bars," he said, confiscated by Antara.

Franoto admitted that he was concerned and regretted the events that could have an impact on the safety of the train journey.

The fatalities in the incident were then evacuated by police officers and continued with the crime scene.

Franoto said there was no damage to the locomotive, but the incident resulted in delays in the Sembrani train journey of about 5 minutes.

Meanwhile, from the information gathered, the accident victim was a husband and wife who rode a motorcycle.

The victim who died was reported to be the woman who was riding the motorcycle.
