Bandung Police Arrest 4 Perpetrators Of Stabbing In Cicalengka

The Bandung City Police, West Java, arrested four perpetrators who carried out the stabbing in Cicalengka, Bandung Regency, resulting in seven injuries.

Bandung Police Chief Kombes Kusworo Wibowo said the perpetrators were arrested only 1x24 hours after the incident that occurred on Sunday (5/6) in the morning on Jalan Raya Cicalengka.

"Starting the victim made a report to the police, then the cooperation between the police and the police was to search for witnesses at the crime scene," said Kusworo as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, May 6.

Kusworo explained that the beginning of the beating when the perpetrators gathered, then saw that the person crossing nearby was someone who had abused one of the suspects.

Furthermore, the perpetrators immediately chased the victim by overtaking their motorbike, then they got out of their vehicle and immediately stabbed them.

"The victim ran to the shop, then was chased, then the suspect beat or stabbed the people around him," said Kusworo.

As a result of the stabbing carried out around 20 perpetrators, seven people suffered injuries to the head and body.

Kusworo said his staff were still hunting for 16 other perpetrators who fled out of town so that officers were deployed to hunt down and arrest other perpetrators.

"Then information was obtained that there were approximately 20 perpetrators. Then several of them were identified and we immediately arrested them at their respective residences," he said.

The police have published a list of people searching for other perpetrators, including initiators rather than beatings.

"To the DPOs who are still running away, please surrender. Because if you don't surrender, we will continue to pursue and for this disturbing act, we will take measured decisive action against the suspects who are still on the DPO," said Kusworo.

For their actions, the suspects were charged with Article 170 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code, namely committing violence together which resulted in serious injuries to the victim with a penalty of 7 years in prison.
