PDIP Buka Penjaringan Cagub DKI Jakarta Mulai Rabu 8 Mei

JAKARTA - The election for governor and deputy governor of DKI Jakarta is opened by the PDI-P (PDIP). Anyone interested in becoming a candidate for regional head can register from Wednesday, May 8 to May 20.

"The PDI-P provides an opportunity for all the best sons and daughters to register themselves as candidates for the regional head of the Jakarta Special Region", said PDIP Regional Head Candidate (DKJ) Hendra Gunawan in his statement, Monday, May 6.

Hendra said the registration location was at the DPD PDI Perjuangan DKI Jakarta Office, Sedayu City Big Box, West Cakung, East Jakarta. Penjaringan will be carried out in stages.

"The PDI-P will conduct a screening which will later be increased in tiered screening carried out by the Central Executive Board together with the PDI-P Regional Leadership Council," he said.

The regional head sought by PDIP to lead Jakarta is to have a strong leadership based on Pancasila which is the basis and ideology of the state. In addition, this figure must also be able to face new challenges that arise from Law Number 2 of 2024 concerning the Province of the Special Region of Jakarta.

"To prevent these concerns, strong leadership from a regional head who leads the government over the Pancasila pillars is needed as the basis and ideology of the nation," said Hendra.

"As one of the pillars of Indonesian democracy, the PDI-P of DKI Jakarta Province will carry a candidate for regional head who is believed to be able to face the challenges above faithfully and consistently walk and fight on the basis of the Pancasila ideology," he concluded.
