JAKARTA - The meeting between President Joko Widodo and PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri is not impossible. Prabowo Subianto could be a bridge of communication between the two national figures.

"Pak Prabowo as a friend of Pak Jokowi and also a friend of Mrs. Mega. Of course he can also encourage, help communicate the two national figures," said Deputy Chairperson of the Gerindra Party, Habiburokhman, Sunday, May 5.

Habib believes that the meeting between Jokowi and Mega, which is rumored to be difficult, will be held in the near future, especially by Prabowo.

"The meeting between Mrs. Mega and Mr. Jokowi, in our opinion, is not impossible to implement in the not too distant future. We believe the two figures both have views on how the Indonesian people can prosper. And both have a Red and White heart," said Habib.

He said that as figures who have served as leaders of this country, both have the potential to contribute to the next government.

"Because it's a shame, if the relationship between the two figures doesn't get better soon. Because both of them have the potential to contribute, giving at least advice on opinions on this government in order to face national challenges that are getting bigger day by day. In the end, all parties will leave their own egos for the benefit of the nation and state," concluded Habib.
