WSL Krui Pro International Surfing Event 2024 Held In Lampung, Police Deploy 222 Security Personnel

Lampung Police deployed 222 personnel to secure the international surfing event, the 2024 Krui Pro World Surf League (WSL) in West Coast Regency.

"The security of the international surfing league is carried out by 130 members of the West Coast Police and 92 personnel from the Lampung Regional Police," said Head of Public Relations of the Lampung Police, Police Commissioner (Kombes) Umi Fadilah Astutik, at the Lampung Police Headquarters, Friday, May 3, confiscated by Antara.

He revealed that the security at the Krui Pro Surf event started from VIP guests, to the location of this surfing competition being held on the West Coast, Lampung Province.

"The Lampung Regional Police personnel deployed at the Krui Pro event consisted of Ditpamobvit, Ditpolairud to Brimob," he said.

He also revealed that in this Krui Pro event, the West Lampung Police and Tanggamus Police were also ready if additional security was needed, namely 1 SST Dalmas.

"International athletes from dozens of countries will participate in this competition. So, as hosts, we must give our best, including security for athletes," he said.

Umi added that international surfing competitions are increasingly in demand every year by foreign professional athletes. In 2022, 212 participants participated in this event in 2023 followed by 259 participants.

"So, security is an absolute thing so that the implementation of the event runs smoothly," he said.

It is known that the World Surf League (WSL) Krui Pro Qualyfing Series (QS) 5000 World Surfing Championship will again be held from May 28 to June 4, 2024 at Tanjung Setia Beach, Pesisir Selatan District, West Coast Regency, Lampung Province.
