KPK Reminds Sidoarjo Regent Gus Muhdlor To Attend Today's Examination

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigative team has scheduled a summons for the Sidoarjo Regent, Ahmad Muhdlor Ali or Gus Muhdlor, Friday, May 3, 2024.

This summons is related to the investigation of the alleged corruption case at the Regional Tax Service Agency (BPPD) of the Sidoarjo Regency Government.

The KPK has named three people as suspects in this case, namely the Head of the General Subdivision and Personnel of the Sidoarjo Regency BPPD, Siska Wati (SW); Head of BPPD Sidoarjo, Ari Suryono (USA); and Gus Muhdlor. For now, only Gus Muhdlor has not been arrested.

"We once again remind those concerned to attend tomorrow according to the predetermined schedule," said KPK spokesman Ali Fikri at the KPK building, Jakarta, last Thursday.

Ali Fikri also reminded that no parties should try to obstruct the KPK investigation process this time. He reminded that those who hinder the anti-corruption agency can be prosecuted.

"Anyone is prohibited by law from intentionally, for example, obstructing the investigation process. Including his legal advisers when deliberately providing suggestions, for example, that are not in accordance with the provisions, it must be possible to apply Article 21 of the Anti-Corruption Law," said Ali Fikri.

"We really appreciate and respect the role of legal advisors because it is a noble profession, but once again as long as then his advice is in accordance with the law enforcement process," he continued.

Previously, the KPK investigating team examined 15 state civil servants (ASN) of the Sidoarjo Regency Government at the East Java Regional Police (Jatim), Monday, April 29, 2024.

The 15 ASNs examined were Ayu Wiranti, Nurul Hisbiyah, Bambang Edy Subagiyo, Mochamad Ichsan, Ruslim Dono Putro, Agus Wahyuni, Akhmad Syamsul Huda, Jazilatul Munawaroh, Fakhruddin Ahmad Busuda, M Andi Rusdiansyah, Supriyanto, Dyah Lestariningsih, Sudibyo, Sumanto, and Harum Nuroitah.
