Ghufron explained that there were a number of reasons why he asked for a postponement. The first is because he is filing a lawsuit at the State Administrative Court (PTUN) and in accordance with Article 55 of the Constitutional Court Law (MK), the ethics trial should be postponed. "If a norm is being tested, then if the norm derivative is being tested at the Supreme Court, it must be postponed. Therefore, on that basis, on the basis of Article 55 of the Constitutional Court Law, I ask for a delay,” he said. "Therefore, on the basis of Article 55 of the Constitutional Court Law, I ask for a postponement. Because indeed I am filing a lawsuit against the validity of the investigation forum for the ethics trial in question, ” continued Ghufron. Furthermore, Ghufron claimed that the KPK Council should not process alleged ethical violations in accordance with Article 23 of the Perdewas Number 4 of 2021 because it has expired or more than a year since the occurrence or the discovery of violations. However, because Ghufron was not present, the KPK Council postponed it. The trial will be held again on May 14.
