Fleeing To Palembang, Police Arrest Suspected Perpetrator Of Body In Suitcase In Cikarang

Polda Metro Jaya arrested the alleged perpetrator of the murder of a female victim (50) placed in a suitcase found in West Cikarang District, Bekasi Regency, West Java, on Thursday, April 25.

"He has arrested a man suspected of being the perpetrator of the murder of a woman whose body was found in a suitcase some time ago in West Cikarang, Bekasi Regency," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Pol Ade Ary Syam Indradi quoted from ANTARA, Wednesday, May 1.

However, Ade Ary has not explained in detail the identity of the alleged perpetrator. He only explained that the perpetrator had been arrested by the Polda Metro Jaya.

"The perpetrator was arrested in Palembang, currently on his way to Jakarta," he said.

Ade Ary added that his party would still conduct an in-depth investigation regarding the alleged perpetrator.

He added that the disclosure of the alleged perpetrator was the work of a joint team from the Jatanras Sub-Directorate of the Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya and the Bekasi Metro Police Satreskrim and West Cikarang Police and the Bandung Poltabes Satreskrim.

Previously, the Metro Police investigated the case of a corpse in a suitcase found in West Cikarang District, Bekasi Regency, West Java, on Thursday, April 25.

"Today, Thursday, April 25, 2024, at 8 am, a black suitcase was found containing the body of a woman," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Police Ade Ary Syam when met in Jakarta.

Ade Ary explained that the identified body with the initials RM (50) was found by witness A while cleaning up clay around the crime scene (TKP).

After walking several meters, the witness saw the suitcase lying on the side of the road. "Then the witness held the suitcase feeling heavy, suspicious and finally reported the discovery to the West Cikarang Police," he said.

The former South Jakarta Metro Police Chief also mentioned that when he was found, the condition of the corpse contained a number of wounds.

"This woman's body was found with surgery on the left side of the head, her nose was bleeding, her lips were broken," said Ade Ary.
