Facts About The Trial Of The SYL Case, From Sunatan, Perfume, To Installation Of Alphard Are Paid By The Ministry Of Agriculture

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) in the era of former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo alias SYL spent a number of costs for purposes outside his agency.

These costs include bringing in a singer or singer at an event, installments for Toyota Alphard luxury cars, eyewear and perfume bills, financing the circumcision of SYL grandchildren, and preparing Rp 30 million per month for the needs of SYL's wife.

In the trial of the alleged corruption case of the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan), at the Corruption Court at the Central Jakarta District Court, Monday (29/4/2024), staff of the Ministry of Agriculture's General Bureau, Muhammad Yunus said that his party had to borrow Rp 30 million per month from a third party to fulfill the request of Syahrul Yasin Limpo's wife (SYL), Ayun Sri Harahap.

Yunus said the Ministry of Agriculture must also provide IDR 3 million for daily needs at SYL's official residence. The daily money is handed over to the contract workers who are on duty at SYL's official residence. He revealed that money is sometimes given every day according to demand or depending on the end.

"Is that the official budget or not Rp. 3 million per day?" asked the judge.

"No, Your Majesty," replied Yunus.

'What is to buy? What is food every day, what is it?' asked the judge.

"Online food, that kind, sometimes laundry," said Yunus.

"What else," said Chief Justice Rianto Adam Pontoh to the witness.

"Usually a bill of noble glasses," replied Yunus.

"Who are the glasses for," asked the judge.

"For the Minister, I have, for you too," replied Yunus.

Yunus said another bill received was the payment of a perfume of around Rp. 5 million.

In the same trial, the former Head of the Procurement Subdivision of the General Bureau and Procurement of the Ministry of Agriculture, Abdul Hafidh, said the Ministry of Agriculture also financed the circumcision of SYL's grandson, or the son of Kemal Redindo.

Meanwhile, the coordinator of the Ministry of Agriculture's household subtance, Arief Sopian, admitted that he had transferred Rp. 100 million to bring in a singer. Initially, the prosecutor questioned Arief about the existence of expenditure for entertainment. The value touched hundreds of millions.

"That's why I asked, this is because the witness called it several times, Rp 50 to Rp 100 million once transferring it to entertainment. How does this mean to be entertainment?" asked the prosecutor during the trial.

"Sometimes when there is an event, we keep calling the singer. There are singers, so that's what we have to pay for," Arief replied.

"Can the singers be brought in?" asked the prosecutor.

"Yes, that's right," replied Arief.

The prosecutor then questioned Arief about the transfer to the singer, Nayunda Nabila. Arief also agreed. If it's special that was to Nayunda. If I check, it turns out that Nayunda is rising star idol. How many times have you been to Nayunda?" asked the prosecutor.

"Only once," replied Arief.

Meanwhile, the functional of the Ministry of Agriculture's Intermediate Quarantine State Budget, Abdul Hafidh, said that Kemal Redindo, SYL's son, owns a luxury Toyota Alphard brand car. However, it was revealed that the car was still in installments whose money came from vendors at the Ministry of Agriculture.

The Alphard car is not used for ministerial service, but for the personal interests of SYL's child, Kemal Redindo. This car is located in Makassar City.

In the trial of the alleged corruption case at the Ministry of Agriculture, Monday (29/4/2024) sat as a defendant, namely SYL, former Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture Kasdi Subagyono, and former Director of Agricultural Equipment and Machinery Muhammad Hatta.
