Strong Signal PKS Joins Prabowo-Gibran Government, Gerindra: Be Patient

JAKARTA - The daily chairman of the Gerindra Party DPP, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, responded to the PKS signaling joining the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government coalition, until an invitation was made to the meeting. Dasco asked all parties to be patient.

According to Dasco, it is still too early to decide to reject or accept political parties outside the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) which states his interest in joining the Prabowo-Gibran government. "It is too early if we talk about whether we can accept or not accept it. Please be patient," said Dasco, Tuesday, April 30. Dasco explained that his party is still conducting research and communication related to this by inviting parties supporting Prabowo. Including parties that want to join the coalition. "Regarding the issue of the coalition composition will be discussed later. At this time it is still under review and communication, both with parties that will enter and with parties that have entered," explained Dasco. Previously, PKS gave a signal wanting to join the Prabowo-Gibran government. The reason was to do more to the state. Deputy Chairman of the PKS Shura Council, Hidayat Nur Wahid said there had been communication between PKS and Gerindra through the leadership of the two parties.

"Communication occurred between the PKS leadership and the Gerindra leadership," Hidayat said at the halalbihalal event at the PKS DPP office, South Jakarta, Saturday, April 27.

However, until now the date of the meeting between the two parties has not been agreed upon. PKS has not been able to provide certainty regarding the time of the meeting with Gerindra because they are still considering the right time.

"It's only a matter of when it will be agreed on the date, of course considering the extra time that both of them have," said Hidayat.
