JAKARTA - The Thousand Islands Regency Government (Pemkab) has completed the repair of seven water control tub units on Pramuka Island, Panggang Island Village, North Thousand Islands District, DKI Jakarta Province.

"The total that has been repaired is seven water control tanks and currently on Pramuka Island more than 70 water control tanks have been installed which function as a filter for channel deposits and rainwater reservoirs," said Head of the Thousand Islands Water Resources (SDA) Sub-dept., Hendri in Jakarta, Monday, April 29, as reported by Antara.

He said the repairs had been carried out from 23 to 27 April 2024.

The work includes welding the framework and changing the lid like a control as an effort to organize the area so that it looks orderly and neat.

He said the repair of the control tub involved 10 personnel who were done manually and the repaired water control tub had a diameter of 40\times40 and a depth of 50 centimeters.

The tub, he continued, is connected to other tubs that use six-inch pvc paralon pipes.

"After it is repaired, I hope that residents will take care of the control tub and channel. So that the environment does not easily cause inundation," he said.

Hendri did not specify how much the budget was prepared to repair the seven water control tub units.

Head of RW 05 Pramuka Sairan Island said officers had completed the repair of the control tub in his area.

Before being repaired, the water in the control tub often overflowed due to the damaged plate or lid.

"Currently it is cleaner, the roads look more organized. Hopefully there will be no re-inundation and the flow of water in the canal can also return to normal," he said.
