PPP Legal Counsel: There Is A Voice Transfer To Garuda Party In 3 Banten Electoral Districts

JAKARTA - The attorney for the United Development Party (PPP) Dharma Rozali Akbar said there were allegations of the practice of relocating the party's votes against the Garuda Party in the electoral districts of Banten Satu, Banten Dua, and Banten Tiga, Banten Province. This was conveyed in the preliminary examination of the Election Result Dispute (PHPU) case for the 2024 Legislative Election at the First Building of the Constitutional Court (MK), Central Jakarta, with the KPU as the respondent. “Pok petitioner; practice of transferring applicant votes for the election for members of the DPR RI at the Banten Satu electoral district, Banten Dua, Banten Tiga, Banten Province, illegally against the Garuda Party,” Dharma said at the Constitutional Court as reported by Antara, Monday, April 29. Based on KPU Decree Number 360 of 2024, PPP received a vote of 5,878,777 or 3.87 percent. The party did not meet the parliamentary threshold of four percent. "Based on the equal votes acquired by the applicant and Garuda Party, there is a difference between the calculation of the applicant and the defendant's version," he said. He said there were allegations of vote transfers from PPP to the Garuda Party in the Banten One electoral district as many as 5,000 votes, Banten Dua as many as 5,450 votes, and Banten Tiga as many as 8,950 votes. Based on these findings, in its petitum, PPP asked the Constitutional Court to cancel KPU Decree Number 360 of 2024 concerning the results of the determination of members of the DPR RI during the results of the 2024 general election for members of the DPR RI in the three electoral districts of Banten Province, which converted the parliamentary threshold to four percent. PPP also asked the Constitutional Court to order the KPU to determine the correct vote acquisition results, namely in the Banten One electoral district, PPP received 137,212 votes, while the Garuda Party received 131 votes correct votes.

For Banten Dua, the correct PPP votes were 69,812 votes, while the Garuda Party had 104 votes. For Banten Tiga, the correct PPP votes were 101,606 votes, while the Garuda Party had 103 votes.
