Central Java Police Chief Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi admitted that he wanted to be the village head after retiring from a member of the Indonesian National Police. This statement was made after his name was predicted to be included in the Central Java governor's nomination market in this year's regional election. This was conveyed by Luthfi after the Central Java Police Chief Kamtibmas Gathering event in Purwokerto, Banyumas Regency, Monday, April 29. Initially, Luthfi said that his party held community order security maintenance activities for the Banyumas area involving three pillars, namely Babinsa, Bhabinkamtibmas, and village heads, including religious leaders throughout Banyumas. "This is in order to create a conducive situation after we have held the election, the homecoming flow has been completed, we are all reunited in order to build, especially the Banyumas area," he said. According to Luthfi, these activities are very good to use for unity and integrity in the Banyumas area. Asked about the aspirations of the people who wanted him to run as a candidate for governor of Central Java, Ahmad Luthfi said that until now he was still serving. "This means that we respect the aspirations of the village heads. But the principle in the Police Law is clear, Article 28 that members of the National Police must not practice politics, members of the National Police must not exercise their voting rights while they are still in service," he said. Therefore, Luthfi said he would continue to serve as a member of the National Police first. He was also reluctant to comment on the possibility of communicating with other gubernatorial candidates. When asked about his plan after retiring, Ahmad Luthfi admitted that he wanted to become the village head.
