Labuanbatu Regency Government Bribery Case, KPK Confiscates Rp5.5 Billion Luxury House Belonging To Regent

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission confiscated a luxury house belonging to the inactive Labuhanbatu Regent Erik Adtrada Ritonga which was allegedly involved in bribery on Wednesday, April 24. The forced effort was made because investigators believed the assets were related to the case being handled.

"The confiscation of assets allegedly belonging to the suspect EAR (Labuhan Batu Regent) located in Medan City, North Sumatra," said Head of the News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Friday, April 26.

"Aset in the form of a housing unit is suspected of having a close link with the receipt of bribes by the suspect EAR," he continued.

"The current house has been installed by investigators," said Ali. The value of the house is thought to have reached Rp. 5.5 billion.

"Immediately confiscation and installation of the confiscated sign," said the spokesman with the prosecutor's background.

Previously reported, the KPK named Erik as a suspect in bribery in the procurement of goods and services within the Labuhanbatu Regency Government (Pemkab). He stumbled after a hand arrest operation (OTT) was carried out on January 11.

In addition, there are three other suspects who are suspects. They are Rudi Syahputra Ritonga as a member of the Labuhanbatu DPRD and Efendi Sahputra and Fajar Syahputra as private parties as suspects.
