JAKARTA - One of the founders of the Democratic Party and the initiator of the North Sumatra Extraordinary Congress (KLB), Hencky Luntung responded to the statement of the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Mahfud MD, which stated that Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) was still the legitimate chairman of the Democratic Party.

Still, we will temporarily acknowledge that (AHY is the party chairman) while it is being verified, or even state according to the Statutes and Bylaws (AD/ART) whether it is legal or not, right? there has been no decision yet", he added.
