Bima Arya Is Ready To Be One Of The Candidates Of DKI Regional Head Election, Observers Claim His Still Has Low Number Of Voters Compared To Anies And Risma

JAKARTA - The Mayor of Bogor, Bima Arya, has begun to take his eyes at the upcoming election for the Governor of DKI. He stated that he is ready to participate in the DKI Regional Head Election (Pilkada) if it was carried out by his party.

Seeing this matter, a political observer from the Indonesia Political Opinion (IPO), Dedi Kurnia Syah, said Bima Arya was the most prominent cadre of the National Mandate Party (PAN). This is thanks to Bima Arya's position as the leader of Bogor City for two periods.

"There are two things that Bima Arya has, namely the popularity and experience of the bureaucracy. As a prominent cadre in his party, his opportunities are certainly bigger than others", said Dedi to VOI, Sunday, March 7.

However, not only Bima Arya has the opportunity, DKI Governor Anies Baswedan and Deputy Governor of DKI Ahmad Riza Patria also have the opportunity to participate again in the Pilgub DKI.

Not to mention, the name Tri Rismaharini appeared in the DKI Jakarta Regional Head Election stock exchange. Risma, who is now the Minister of Social Affairs, is widely rumored to be supported by PDIP as a candidate for DKI 1.

"When compared to Anies and Risma, Bima Arya is still losing, far apart. This means that the chances of continuing to be recognized are quite large, while the chances of winning are still not potential enough", said Dedi.

A political observer from the Voxpol Center, Pangi Syarwi Chaniago revealed that Bima Arya must fulfill four assets to advance in the DKI Regional Head Election. The first thing you need is political party support.

The second is logistical readiness. The third is the image. The fourth is creating a good image in the eyes of the public.

"Bima must show that he does have good flying hours, achievements, successes, or legacy during his leadership. Everyone has a chance as long as they can convince voters, especially for political parties before participating in the regional elections", said Pangi.

"But this is still a long way off because according to the regulations, the DKI Regional Head Election will be held in 2024. But that's okay To discuss the discourse regarding this matter", he continued.

Previously, Secretary-General of the Central Executive Board (DPP) of PAN Party, Edy Suparno said Bima Arya's name was prepared as a candidate for governor in the 2024 DKI Jakarta Regional Head Election.

According to Edy Suparno, his considerations to include Bima Arya to the DKI Regional Head Election Candidate list is his experience as the mayor of Bogor for two periods with many achievements. Bima Arya is currently the Chairman of the Association of City Governments throughout Indonesia (Apeksi) for the 2021-2024 period.

Meanwhile, Bima Arya acknowledged that the DPP PAN had conveyed to himself to be ready for the DKI Jakarta Regional Head Election in 2024. "As a cadre, everyone must be ready", said Bima Arya.

However, Bima said that his tenure as mayor of Bogor was until 2023, so he still had many tasks to complete in the city of Bogor.

"My focus is currently still serving as Mayor of Bogor. My focus is not there yet. I don't think it is necessarily Jakarta. So, it is not a single option", he continued.
