KPU Calls Recruitment Of The 2024 Pilkada Ad Hoc Body Still Using SIAKBA

The General Election Commission (KPU) of the Republic of Indonesia said that the recruitment of the 2024 Regional Election Ad hoc body will continue to use the KPU Member Information System and Ad Hoc Agency (SIAKBA) as in yesterday's election.

However, he said, registration can also be carried out in district/city KPUs with a number of certain conditions.

"If there are problems related to networks, signals, and systems throughout Indonesia in certain areas because we know that not all regions in Indonesia have a signal range that is always in good condition, they can directly register with the local district/city KPU," said member of the Indonesian KPU Parsadaan Harahap at the KPU Building. He explained that the two options are a way to register as an ad hoc body for the 2024 Pilkada.

"Because these two ways are what we do so that we can get, capture the best potentials throughout Indonesia to become members of the sub-district electoral committee (PPK)," said the Coordinator of the Indonesian KPU's Human Resources, Organization, Education and Training, and Research and Development Division.

It was also informed that PPK registration will start from 23 to 29 April 2024. The number of PPKs that will be recruited is 36,385 people to be placed in 7,277 sub-districts.

Previously, the Indonesian KPU officially launched the stages of holding the 2024 Simultaneous Pilkada at Prambanan Temple, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region, Sunday, March 31.

The following is the schedule for the 2024 Pilkada:

1. On 27 February 16 November 2024: Notification and registration of election monitoring;

2. On April 24 May 31, 2024: Submission of a list of potential voters;

3. On May 5, August 19, 2024: Fulfillment of the requirements for support for individual candidate pairs;

4. On May 31, September 23, 2024: Updating and drafting of the voter list;

5. On August 24, 2024: Announcement of registration of candidate pairs;

6. On 27'29 August 2024: Candidate registration;

7. On 27 August 21 September 2024: Research on candidate requirements;

8. On September 22, 2024: Determination of candidate pairs;

9. On September 25, November 23, 2024: Campaign implementation;

10. On 27 November 2024: Implementation of voting; and

11. On 27 November December 16, 2024: Counting of votes and recapitulation of vote count results.
