Lured By A Game Mobile, A 5-year-old Boy In Cengkareng Was Molested By His Brother Repeatedly

JAKARTA - A man suspected of committing sexual abuse with the initials EA (21) was arrested by the police because he had the heart to molest a 5-year-old boy in the Cengkareng area, West Jakarta, Tuesday, April 23. Ironically, the victim is the brother of the perpetrator.

Cengkareng Police Chief Kompol Hasoloan Situmorang said the perpetrator molested the victim with the mode of being lured into playing games on the perpetrator's cellphone.

"Currently the case has been handled by the PPA (Women and Children Protection) section of the West Jakarta Metro Police. The report has entered the PPA Polres," said Police Commissioner Hasoloan when confirmed, Tuesday, April 23.

Meanwhile, the Head of the West Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim PPA, AKP Reliana Sitompul, said that from the results of the investigation and the results of the post-mortem obtained that the perpetrator was proven to have abused the victim.

"The perpetrator has repeatedly sexually harassed the victim," said AKP Reliana.

The PPA unit has also received the results of the post-mortem on the victim and the victim has been proven to have been sexually harassed by the perpetrator.

"From his confession, the perpetrator has been sexually harassing the victim since 2022," he added.

Suspect AE was charged with Article 82 UURI No. 17 of 2016 concerning the second amendment to UURI No. 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection with a penalty of 15 years in prison.

"West Jakarta Metro Police also cooperates with P2TP2A to provide assistance to victims and provide trauma healing and psychological guidance to victims," he said.
