Through PSI, Former NTT Police Chief Candidates To Become Candidates For Governor Of NTT

East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Police Chief Brigadier General Johanis Asadoma officially registered as a candidate for the Governor of NTT for the period 2024-2029 through the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI).

"I came to the PSI NTT office to register as a candidate for the Governor of NTT through the PSI party," he said when he arrived at the PSI NTT Office, Friday, April 19, which was confiscated by Antara.

His arrival at the PSI NTT office was only accompanied by several supporters and when meeting with the Chairman of the PSI NTT DPW Christian Widodo, Jhony handed over the files needed to be seen by the leaders of the PSI party in the NTT region.

In a discussion with the Chairman of the PSI NTT DPW, Jhony stated his reason for choosing PSI to support or support himself to run as a candidate for governor of NTT in the November 2024 Pilkada.

The former Head of the Hubinter Police Division said that he chose PSI because he saw the party's vision and mission in line with his thought of building NTT to be more advanced in the future.

He admitted that previously on April 17, he had also registered with the Gerindra Party DPW to run as a candidate for Governor of NTT who would later be supported by Gerindra.

"That's why I came here asking for his support to run as a candidate for governor of NTT," he said.

Chairman of the PSI NTT DPW Christian Widodo said that the submission of the file directly by Jhony Asadoma was an award for PSI itself.

"This means that Mr. Jhony considers that PSI NTT now has six seats in the DPRD and this is certainly a determinant in the politics of the Governor and Deputy Governor of NTT," he said.

The files received, he said, will still be received and will continue to proceed in accordance with the provisions of PSI itself.

He added that the PSI NTT registration did not accept any dowry, so those who want to register to become prospective regional heads of PSI NTT will receive it and of course a survey will be carried out as well.
