Alcoholic Mix 'Cap Tikus,' 26-year-old Man In Wamena Papua Arrested By Police

Wamena - Wamena City Police, Jayawijaya Regency, Papua Mountains, arrested AS (26) as the maker of local alcoholic beverages such as rat stamps (CT) in the PIkhe Wamena housing complex, Jayawijaya, Papua Mountains. "The perpetrator was arrested last Thursday, then the process was developed in the investigation," said Wamena City Police Chief AKP Najamuddin in a written statement, Antara, Friday, April 19. He said the disclosure of the case began with a community report informing that in the housing complex in Pikhe Wamena there was a production site for illegal local alcoholic beverages. From the report, the members rushed to the crime scene and it turned out that the report was true so that the evidence was then confiscated and taken to the Wamena City Police Headquarters. While at the TKP, the owner of the local alcoholic beverage manufacturing site was not there, so members contacted him via his cell phone and the person concerned went directly to the Wamena City Police. "Currently, the perpetrators and evidence are being processed at the Wamena City Police for further processing," said Najamudin. He added that the evidence that was secured included a drum with a capacity of 200 liters of blue, one damang with a distillation pipe, three iron pipe stems, stoves, gallons containing about 19 liters of CT alcoholic beverages, along with raw materials for making CT.

"We are grateful to residents who care about the environment by reporting a place for making local alcoholic beverages and hope that more people will wake up and report anything suspicious around them," hoped AKP Najamudin.
