Prosecutor's Office Receives Four Suspects From 2 Road Project Corruption Cases In Mampeng Papua

JAYAPURA - Head of Sub-Directorate of Corruption Direskrimsus Papua Police AKBP Leonardo Yoga said four suspects from two corruption cases in road construction in Central Mamberamo Regency (Mamteng), Papua Mountains, had been handed over to the Papua High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati).

"Two corruption cases in Central Mamberamo Regency have been transferred to the prosecutor's office (April 16) for further legal proceedings, with a state loss report of Rp. 4.4 billion," he said in Jayapura, Friday, April 19, which was confiscated by Antara.

He explained that two corruption cases were handled, namely the alleged corruption in the misuse of work funds to increase the 9.9-kilometer Kolama III road segment with a budget of IDR 2.6 billion with a state loss of around IDR 1.1 billion.

The case of the construction of a ring road for the Central Mamberamo Regent's office sourced from the public allocation fund (DAU) of the Public Works and Public Housing Office of Central Mamberamo Regency, TA. 2021 is 13 kilometers long with a budget of IDR 4.6 billion and state losses reaching IDR 3.3 billion.

"It is true that two corruption cases in Central Mamberamo Regency, Mountains Papua caused state losses from the two cases of around Rp. 4.4 billion, namely Rp. 3.3 billion and Rp. 1.1 billion," he said.

The suspects from the two cases were for the case of increasing the 3 Kobakma route with the suspect being the former Regent of Mamteng RHP, AP, PP and MP. For the case of building the regent's office ring road with the suspect, the former Regent of Central Mamberamo RHP, AP, PP and WW.

Papuan Police Corruption Investigators have handed over four suspects who were previously detained at the Papua Regional Police detention center in Jayapura, namely AP (Head of PUPR Office of Central Mamberamo Regency), PP (entrepreneurs), WW (PPK) for the construction of the Regent's office ring road) and MP (PPK).

Leonardo added that the former RHP Regent is currently still serving his sentence at Makassar Prison.
