Worried About Clashes, Prabowo Asks 100 Thousand Volunteers To Protest At The Constitutional Court Today

JAKARTA - The Commander of the National Campaign Team for Volunteers (TKN Golf) Haris Rusli Moti stated that Prabowo Subianto asked for the termination of the peaceful demonstration in front of the Constitutional Court (MK) building, Friday, April 19.

"Tonight I myself received direct directions from Pak Prabowo Subianto, our leader, the elected president of the 2024 presidential election. Prabowo conveyed directions to all supporters and voters of Prabowo-Gibran so as not to continue the peaceful mass action which is planned to be held at the Constitutional Court," Haris, Thursday, April 18 evening.

He explained that the directive was conveyed by telephone and video calls. Several important points from Prabowo's direction, so that Prabowo-Gibran voters and supporters respect the ongoing legal and constitutional processes in the Constitutional Court.

"Prabowo appealed to all Prabowo-Gibran supporters and voters to give full trust to the Constitutional Court to try and decide on the 2024 presidential election dispute submitted by Paslon 01 and 03," he said.

He stated that Prabowo asked Prabowo-Gibran supporters and voters not to exert political pressure in the form of mass movements or movements in the form of amicus stealing to the Constitutional Court.

"Prabowo as president-elect is concerned about the occurrence of friction and social impacts, as well as uncontrolled chaos in the field, if it collides with the masses of other pairs of candidates, who happen to also hold actions at the same time," he said.

According to him, TKN Prabowo-Gibran assessed that public trust in the election process was very high. This is evidenced by the implementation of the 2024 presidential election which was very safe and peaceful throughout the reform era.

"I, as the commander of TKN Prabowo-Gibran based on the ranks and initiators of mass action from supporters and Prabowo-Gibran voters, we apologize to all supporters and voters for the cancellation of this peaceful action," he said.

He also appealed to all Prabowo-Gibran supporters and voters to refrain and obey the directions given by Prabowo not to take peaceful action at the Constitutional Court on Friday, April 19, 2024.

"We as the Commander of the Prabowo-Gibran TKN Volunteers are responsible for the cancellation of this action, and starting tonight our team will work until this morning to conduct socialization to all supporters who have prepared their arrival for peaceful actions that have gone viral on various social media and mass media," he said.
