Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto asked the police to stop investigating the Connie Rahakundini Bakrie case. This is in response to Connie's plan to summon her at the Polda Metro Jaya.

According to Hasto, the police do not need to continue the legal process against Connie because the police report regarding the alleged spread of false information is groundless.

"Continuing to Mrs. Connie does not need to continue, because Mrs. Connie is fighting for the people, that is actually a good criticism, including for the Police," said Hasto at the FPDR Secretariat, Jalan Diponegoro, Central Jakarta, Thursday, April 18.

Hasto assessed that the police should have examined those who intimidated during the 2024 election process, instead of examining Connie who was fighting for democracy.

"The village head is intimidated, the head of the service is intimidated, the incumbent legislative member of the PDI-P is monitored. It is better to focus on law enforcement and those who intimidate. That is what should be examined by the Police, not people who fight, for justice and democracy," explained Hasto.

However, Hasto ensured that his party would provide legal assistance to Connie if the public report was still being investigated by the police.

"We will advocate the defense team of the TNI-Polri to remind them to return to their identity, to the red and white, to the interests of the state nation, uphold fair laws, not side with families who are thirsty for power," he said.

Previously, Connie was reported to the Polda Metro Jaya for the controversial statement that the police had access to the sirekap and C1 form so that they could change it. Previously, Connie was also reported to the South Jakarta Metro Police on the same suspicion.

Director of Criminal Investigation at Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak said his party received two reports on March 20. Both reports are registered with the number LP/B/1585/III/2024/SPKT/PMJ, dated March 20, 2024 and LP/B/1586/III/2024/SPKT/PMJ, dated March 20, 2024.

"That is true on March 20, 2024, has come to SPKT Polda Metro Jaya, 2 (two) reporters who claim to be each of the Alliance of People for Justice (AMUK) and the Youth for Democracy Network (JPUD)," said Ade in a written statement received on Sunday, March 24.

The reporter brought evidence in the form of a flash disk and a sheet of paper containing a screenshot of Connie's Instagram upload.

Connierahakundinibakrie, who contains a narrative quoting the statement by General Oegroseno-former Deputy Chief of Police, which reads: "The Resort Police have access to Sirekap and even C1 filling can be from the Resort Police," he said.

He said that currently his party was following up on the 2nd report. A total of four witnesses have been examined to determine the criminal element of Connie's statement.

"A series of investigative actions to find and find an event suspected of being a criminal act," he said.

Connie was previously also reported to the South Jakarta Metro Police for allegedly spreading hoaxes about elections through a statement on her Instagram accusing the Police of having access to Sirekap and Form C1 later editing it.

"We received a police report about the ITE crime with the reported sister Connie Rahakundini," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Bintoro when confirmed, Saturday, March 23.

Bintoro said his party was following up on the report. It is planned that a number of witnesses and evidence related to the case will be examined.

"Furthermore, in the near future, we will schedule witness examinations and collect evidence related to the reported crimes," he said.
