Close Opportunities For Anies In The DKI Regional Head Election, Gerindra: We Have Jago

JAKARTA - The Gerindra Party closed the opportunity to bring Anies Baswedan back in the DKI Jakarta Pilkada. Secretary General of the Gerindra Party Ahmad Muzani stated that his party already has a champion to be nominated for the upcoming 2024 DKI gubernatorial election.

Muzani initially revealed that the Gerindra Party was working on the names of candidates for governorship of DKI Jakarta and several other regions. He said his party wanted a new spirit and was being discussed by coalition candidates.

However, when asked whether Gerindra had the opportunity to return to carry the former governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan as in the 2017 DKI Regional Head Election with PKS, Muzani seemed to not know who Anies was in question.

"Anies who?," said Muzani, Thursday, April 18.

When he emphasized that Anies Baswedan was in question, Muzani immediately emphasized that Gerindra already had its own champion.

"Oh, we have the good," he said.

Muzani gave the lattice of the champion from young people. It's just that, he said, the name of the DKI cagub is still being discussed internally.

"Ya sosok yang fresh lah utama, masih digodok, belum mateng itu," pungkasnya.
