"We have named a suspect and today we plan to conduct an autopsy on the victim's body in Pengkadan," said Kapuas Hulu Police Chief AKBP Hendrawan, to ANTARA, in Putussibau Kapuas Hulu, Thursday, April 18.

Hendrawan said the suspect was arrested by the Kapuas Hulu Police Satreskrim, Monday, April 15 afternoon.

After an examination, the suspect admitted to killing Erni Fatmawati (victim) a 42-year-old woman by shooting the victim using a homemade firearm, because of revenge or hurt against the victim.

The victim was found dead lying on the road in Nanga Lidau Hamlet, Pinang Laka Village, Pengkadan District, at around 07.45 WIB, Tuesday (9/04).

After several days of finding the victim's body, local residents and police officers found a homemade firearm in the bushes around the location where the victim's body was found.

"The suspect admitted to killing the victim because of revenge (hurt)," said Hendrawan.

In this case, apart from securing a homemade firearm, the police have also examined at least 11 witnesses.

The bloody incident the day before Eid al-Fitr also shocked local residents, even viral on social media and left deep wounds on the victim's family and relatives.
