GARUT- The Tourism and Culture Office (Disparbud) of Garut Regency, West Java noted that tourism promotions and art performances in public spaces in tourist areas such as Situ Bagendit and Situ Cangkuang also boosted tourist visits in their areas which reached 31,448 visitors during the Eid al-Fitr 2024/Idul Fitri1445 Hijri holiday.
Visits increased by 4,122 people compared to the previous year's Eid holiday which amounted to 27,326 people.

He said that the Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijri holiday season, many tourists visited natural tourism destinations, beaches, lakes, and others spread across a number of sub-districts in Garut Regency.
The number of tourist visits, he said, was recorded for tourist destinations managed by the Garut Regency Government, namely Situ Bagendit, Situ and Cangkuang Temple, then the Santolo Beach tourist attractions, Sayang Heulang, and Rancabuaya reached 31,448 people during the 2024 Eid holiday.
The number of tourist visits, he continued, increased compared to the momentum of the 2023 Eid holiday which was recorded at 27,326 people in tourist destinations managed by local governments.
"For five tourist destinations, thank God during the Eid al-Fitr holiday, starting from day H to D + 4 the number of tourist visits is quite encouraging," he said.
According to him, the promotion and art performance, he said, is an attraction for people to visit tourist destinations in Garut Regency, especially during the Eid holiday season.
