North Sumatra Prosecutor's Office Receives Documents For Fraud Cases Entering The Police-TNI

The North Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) received a Notice of Investigation Commencement (SPDP) regarding the alleged fraud case involving members of the National Police and the TNI by the suspect NW.

"Yes, that's right, from the North Sumatra Prosecutor's Office's correspondence system, we know that there was a file submitted to PTSP on Tuesday, April 16, 2024," said Head of the Legal Information Section of the North Sumatra Prosecutor's Office Yos A Tarigan in Medan as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, April 17.

Yos continued, of course, the file will then be submitted to the prosecutor's team for formal and material lessons from the file.

"The suspect NW is suspected of being charged with Article 378 and/or Articles 372 and 263 of the Criminal Code," he said.

Previously, investigators from Sub-Directorate IV Renakta of the North Sumatra Police Criminal Investigation Directorate submitted the case file of the suspect suspected of being an illegal trick to enter members of the TNI-Polri to the prosecutor.

"The case file for the NW suspect phase I has been sent to the North Sumatra Prosecutor's Office," said Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatra Police, Kombes Hadi Wahyudi.

He said investigators were still waiting for the prosecutor's instructions so that the suspect NW along with the evidence was immediately transferred to the North Sumatra Prosecutor's Office.

"The North Sumatra Police are committed to resolving this case, because the recruitment of Polri members is carried out in a clean, transfer, accountable and humane manner," he said.

The Head of Public Relations added that the suspect NW was also reported back by the other seven police reports (LP) received by the North Sumatra Police.

Among them, said Hadi, a report from Riadi as the victim promised by his son to graduate from being a NCO for the Army and had already paid to NW in the amount of Rp. 325 million, Muspriadi, his son, was promised to graduate from the National Police by paying Rp. 350 million.

Then, the third victim was Muhammad Z Harahap. He is suspected of being deceived by the mode of graduating his son from being a member of the National Police to paying Rp450 million and others. The three of them are victims who have just reported.

They were allegedly deceived by NW in 2023 when they received NCO and TNI. Unfortunately, after giving the money, his son did not pass as promised.

Hadi said the losses of the three latest victims reached around Rp. 1.1 billion in total losses.
