PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) has signed a cooperation contract for the construction of MRT Jakarta phase 2A, especially the contract package (CP) 205 with a development planning consultant from Japan, Sojitz Corporation.

This 205 contract package includes substation systems, power distribution systems (power distribution systems), overhead contact systems, signaling (signaling), telecommunications, SCADA, rails (tracks), and edge gates. platform screen doors).

In his remarks, Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono assessed that the Japanese government has a considerable role in the development of mass transportation infrastructure in Jakarta, especially MRT Jakarta.

"So far, cooperation between Indonesia and Japan has become a mainstay in the public transportation sector in the city of Jakarta. Through the signing of the CP 205 package contract which includes the railway system and track works, it has marked an important journey to develop the phase 2A MRT Jakarta," said Heru at the MRT Bundaran HI Station, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, April 17.

Meanwhile, the President Director of PT MRT Jakarta Tuhiyat said the contract value for the 205 CP work with Sojitz Corporation was 26 billion Yen or IDR 1.5 trillion with the current exchange rate.

Overall, the contract value with Sojitz in the construction of MRT Jakarta phase 2A with the HI-Kota roundabout route is projected at IDR 17 trillion.

"Around Rp17 trillion, hopefully we can make it efficient again to save revenue from the regions and the state budget," said Tuhiyat.

Tuhiyat continued, the signing of CP 205 is a follow-up to the three mandates of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to PT MRT Jakarta. The first thing is to build infrastructure, the second is to carry out operations and maintenance, and the third is to build businesses and transit areas in Jakarta.

"We convey the progress of MRT Jakarta, especially Phase 2A from the HI-City Roundabout, with an average progress of 33.36 percent as of March 25, 2024. The details are Thamrin Station and Monas 74 percent, Harmoni-Sawah Besar-Magga Besar 28 percent, Glodok-Kota 50 percent.
