Leave The Constitutional Court Conclusion, Anies-Imin Kubu Brings 35 Additional Evidence

JAKARTA - Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar's legal team has submitted the conclusion document for the trial for the election results dispute (PHPU) as a applicant to the Constitutional Court (MK). "There are 35 additional pieces of evidence that we convey are an inseparable part of this conclusion," said Heru at the Constitutional Court building, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, April 16. Additional evidence submitted by the Anies-Imin camp included violations of the requirements for presidential and vice-presidential candidates, misuse of social assistance, inequality of the acting regional head and village head, as well as regarding IT. Heru underlined that the panel of judges at the Constitutional Court could cancel the vote acquisition for the 2024 presidential election. This is because the KPU has not yet appointed Prabowo-Gibran as the elected president and vice president for the 2024-2029 period. Finally, the KPU has just issued KPU Decree Number 360 of 2024 regarding the results of the national 2024 election vote acquisition on March 20, 2024. So, if the 2024 presidential election dispute application is granted, according to Heru, the Constitutional Court can still cancel the vote acquisition results and order the KPU to re-vote. "The decision of the KPU can be canceled by the Court in the dispute over the election results. If it is canceled, for example, our request is granted to be repeated, of course there is no determination of candidate pair number 2 not to be determined as candidate pair elected," explained Heru. "If the decision grants the request of pair number 1 and serial number 3, then the victory has disappeared. It means nothing. (The vote) will be repeated. Whether it is repeated by disqualification or not, we leave it to the panel of judges," he added.

The Constitutional Court has finished holding a trial for the 2024 presidential election dispute. Now, the Constitutional Court provides an opportunity for litigants to submit the conclusion of the election results dispute trial (PHPU), namely the Anies-Muhaimin team, Ganjar-Mahfud, KPU, Prabowo-Gibran, to Bawaslu. The Constitutional Court is scheduled to accept conclusions from the parties on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 no later than 16.00 WIB. Meanwhile, the PHPU decision or dispute over the 2024 presidential election will be announced on April 22, 2024.
