Know There Will Be An Inspection After The Eid Holiday, ASN DKI Provincial Government Reluctant To WFH

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government held a halalbihalal on the first day of the state civil apparatus (ASN) entering work after Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijriah at DKI City Hall, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (16/4/2024)

JAKARTA - All government employees have returned to work after the holidays and leave with Eid al-Fitr 1445 H today. One of the ASN within the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, Vini, decided to work directly to the office. Meanwhile, the government implemented a combination system rule working in the office and work from home (WFH) through the Circular of the Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform Number 1 of 2024 after the Eid holiday. Vini admitted that she did not want to apply for WFH because the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government ASN knew that the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono and his staff would carry out a surprise inspection (sidak) to the ASN office. "One day before entering our work, we already knew there would be an inspection. So we are careful. So we are preparing ourselves to enter (work) today," said Vini when met at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday, March 16. According to the ASN of the DKI Jakarta Investment and One Stop Integrated Service (DPMPTSP), his fellow ASN counterparts also immediately worked as usual after the post-wide halal activities today. "Everything is known, so we anticipate everything before coming. It is normal, in the years to that year we have to go and prepare ourselves to work again," he said. Meanwhile, Heru this morning also reiterated that his party will conduct an inspection. Heru has instructed the DKD Regional Civil Service Agency (BKD) DKI Jakarta and mayors to carry out the inspection. "I ask BKD, in the area there are mayors, BKD, the heads of the city, BKD, the head of the service were together, it checked their respective staff," said Heru.

Heru emphasized that he did not apply the composition of WFH for some DKI ASN after this year's Eid holiday. Heru also did not allow his staff to apply for additional leave. According to him, the 10 days holiday is quite long. It will take 10 days (off), asking for 11.11 days, asking for 12 (holidays). So, the DKI Provincial Government does not have a WFH. All must enter because it's already (holiday) 10 days," said Heru.
