JAKARTA - The Nanggung Police of the Bogor Resort Police reported a landslide that occurred in the vicinity of an explosives warehouse owned by PT Antam, the Golden Mining Business Unit (UBPE) Pongkor, West Java.
The Head of the Nanggung Police, AKP Ade Kamsa, in Nanggung, said that the landslide incident caused by high rainfall occurred at 13.45 WIB.
"Starting at the time of high rainfall in Bantarkaret Village, then two warehouse guard officers, Aiptu Jajang and Uci Sanusi heard a rumbling sound near the warehouse," said AKP Ade, Sunday, April 14, as reported by Antara.
The landslide, as high as three meters and 10 meters long, caused damage to the canopy section of the car park and closed roads that are usually crossed by four-wheeled vehicles to access explosives warehouses.
"Seeing the incident, the officers immediately reported it to the Danru (Team Commander) Piket Security," he said.
AKP Ade explained that until now his party is still waiting for PT Antam to repair the landslide location.
"Then it was reported that the situation in the handak warehouse (explosives) was still conducive and safe," said AKP Ade.
