Sarangan Telaga Is Still A Favorite For Eid Holidays In Magetan

The Magetan Culture and Tourism Office (Disbudpar) said that the Sarangan Telaga area on the slopes of Mount Lawu is still the favorite tourist destination in this district on the Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijri or Lebaran 2024 holiday.

Head of the Tourism Management Division of Magetan Disbudpar Eka Radityo, Sunday said that Sarangan Telaga is still a mainstay as seen from the increase in tourist visits to these tourist attractions during this Eid holiday. According to data, tourist visits on Saturday (13/4) reached 23,911 people.

"We estimate that the level of tourist visits will continue to increase until Sunday (14/4) with an average number of visits of around 20 thousand tourists," said Eka Radityo to reporters.

According to him, an increase in tourist visits to Telaga Sarangan has occurred since the Eid holiday. At that time, there were around 3 thousand visitors.

Then, it increased to 10 thousand visitors on Thursday (11/4). Then, it jumped drastically to reach the range of 18 thousand to 20 thousand tourists on Friday (12/4) and Saturday (13/4).

In order to avoid congestion and congestion in the Telaga Sarangan tourist area, the Magetan Regency Government is trying to unravel it by asking tourists to hang out to other tourist attractions in the vicinity on the slopes of Mount Lawu which are no less exciting.

"When Telaga Sarangan was congested, we directed visitors to temporarily visit other tourist attractions. Such as Telaga Wahyu, Mojosemi Park, Tamam Bunga Refugia, and Taman Wisata Genilangit," he said.

Meanwhile, the traffic flow on Jalan Raya Sarangan-Tahungmangu which is an alternative route connecting East Java Province and Central Java on D+3 Lebaran 2024 or on Sunday (14/4) is starting to experience congestion. The route was chosen by travelers who wanted to return or return at the same time stop by for a trip.

"There were queues and densities of vehicles at a number of points of the route, such as at the entrance to Sarangan. However, we have added personnel to help unravel tourist vehicles," said Magetan Police Chief AKBP Satria Permana.
